Congratulations Jay!

Congratulations to Jay for completing the Lou Pinella 5K!

Comments:
Congrats Jay, on what I don't know...

Uh.....Josh...the audience needs an explanation.

Alright, I suppose some explanation is in order.  The story is boring, which is why I originally omitted the details.

First, some background.  Jay is a Cubs fan who lives deep in the Sox territory of Bridgeport.

I recently convinced Jay to join my group running at Indy next year.  Jay will be beginning his training for the Indy Mini this winter by running some shorter distances.

Now Bridgeport is one of Chicago's less runner-friendly neighborhoods.  It's not very pretty, and is rife with angry hillbillies (Sox fans) and occasional tire fires.

To make his training runs close to home more interesting, Jay invented "the Lou Pinella 5K" course.  It's a good route that passes several bars and finishes at a strip of Mexican restaurants.

I'll post a link to the route on Monday, just in case any of my readers ever feel the need to run in Bridgeport.

Pretty crickets, Barb. ROFL! I am glad that I was not the only one confused. :D
